Hojicha tea like the one roasted in the Yamajien shop every day, even more fragrant thanks to the brown rice with which it is mixed. Even brewed with hot water, this hojicha tea is still delicious, without bitterness, just the sweetness of the rice and the aroma of the tea, and is suitable for both adults and children thanks to its low caffeine content, further reduced by the roasting process and the addition of brown rice.
This type of bag allows you to enjoy the dense flavour and aromas as if the tea had been brewed in a teapot, without losing intensity until the third brew.
About Yamajien
Established in 1931, Yamajien specialises in Japanese tea, particularly hojicha, their flagship product, which they roast themselves using an old-fashioned roasting machine that roasts the tea leaves over a gas fire, filling the shop with a sweet, fragrant aroma. The number of shops using gas roasters has tended to decline recently due to the small amount of tea that can be produced at one time, but the Yamajien shop insists on continuing to use them, not only because they allow for a deep and thorough roasting, but also because they allow the condition of the tea leaves to be checked by eye and tongue every time. Carefully crafted by artisans, Yamajien’s hojicha tea has had its share of regular customers for many years, thanks to its strong roasted aroma and taste. In addition, the company has recently developed original tea bags to attract more consumers, and is working to spread the word about this tea around the world.
