About Chasho Rokubei

Founded in 1818 in Kyoto, the Chasho Rokubei tea house has been a family business for over 200 years. While the core business remains Uji matcha tea and blended matcha teas, Chasho Rokubei also offers single-origin teas, i.e. from a single variety and a single grower. All growers are carefully selected and many of the teas meet organic standards. The packaging is based on the famous illustrated scroll and national treasure ‘Chôjû-giga’ from Kyoto’s Kôzanji temple, with the temple’s permission.
